Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and track the development timeline and progress for the Android system relevant functions & online services and ensure continuous reporting
- Lead the technical development of the Android system relevant functions and online services ensure its final approval
- Perform evaluation of technical feasibility of defined customer-oriented product requirements in product request
- Define technical product requirements for Android system relevant function and online services in compliance with China-specific legal regulations and customer needs
- Review product requirements at baseline development
- Align with all involved parties to ensure the function is delivered according to the specification and company’s standards
- Provide support in test specification for connectivity; conduct functional testing & test drive to ensure the functional readiness
- Deliver release and create system release notes
- Define safety concept based on the risk analysis and add the safety requirements into the function specification; inform technical project lead about potential risks for development and timeline
- Define Android system relevant functions and online services according to the evaluated requirements
- Ensure modeling and design of local architecture & dynamic behavior on logical level
- Create the technical and functional specification based on the market-specific product requests and the global standard to ensure technical feasibility and compatibility with the market
- Perform basic programming of manipulators and gateways
- Lead and conduct activities regarding change request process
- Conduct continuous research on market, competitors and trends from a technical perspective to ensure state-of-the-art product/service development
- Support Technical Project Lead in planning of resources and budget for development activities
- Closely align with all related stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master or bachelor’s degree in automotive/ electrical engineering, communications, computing or similar
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in the (automotive) infotainment Android function development field or similar
- Deep knowledge and well-founded technical understanding of in-car Android functions, end-to-end online services in mobility industry and protocols in theory and practice
- Knowledge of/ Experience in software/hardware development for embedded systems
- Working experience in infotainment/mobile online service development
- Experience in project management (time management/planning/monitoring)
- Experience in data structures and algorithms is preferred
- Advanced skills in communication+ Ability to solve problems
- Self-organized and motivated way of working
- Excellent language skills in English (written and oral) mandatory
- German language skills appreciated+ Chinese language skills appreciated
